Re: [Solo Biography] Some Famous Women by Louise Creighton - dc

Hi Pam,

Section 15 is PL OK. I admire the courage she displayed by volunteering for the smallpox hospital more than I can say. She's dropped off the radar a little bit compared to some of the other biographical subjects in this book; I'm glad she's getting an outing now.

I'm sorry to cause trouble, but Mr David, could you please check and see if something has disappeared into the ether with the MW? It's not displaying for me.

Hi Pam, Five sections for PL. I'll go back for March! This fancy (gift?) edition of this book doesn't provide page numbers, but January starts on page 14 of 66 in the pdf, if that's any use. https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/calendarofsonnets_01_jackson_128kb.mp3 1.44 https://librivox.org/uploads...

Hi Pam, Last few on this project until I can record again! This book is going really quickly. It feels as if I just started. I'm sorry it's not twice as long! https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/voicesoftherivers_39_salaman_128kb.mp3 1.24, p. 47 https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/voicesoftherivers_...

Omygodomygodomygod, if you do it I want to PL! You were right, this is soooo on my list. I already have a hard copy of The Curse of the Wise Woman, which is an outstanding novel of his but which has a few more years before it's PD. Just saying! There is a source for it at fadedpage: https://www.fade...

Hi Pam, It's hard not to worry about him. He was a nice horse! I didn't want to suggest that, but I couldn't think what on earth it could be. She went to some places where the climate was colder than it was in Scotland, so I thought it might not be that, but I really wasn't sure what poleaxed her at...

Re: Solo - On a Grey Thread - Elsa Gidlow

The lovely pnagami has consented to DPL.

I've kept the full disclaimer for the first and final sections, but for everything in between I've shortened it to the poetry intro and outro.

On a Grey Thread by Elsa Gidlow (1898 - 1986) . On a Grey Thread was first published in 1923, one of the first books of openly lesbian love poetry to be published in the United States. A note for any prospective MC - I will use the full intro/outro on the first and final sections, but I've shortened it to the poetry disclaimer for everything in the middle.
