Re: Open [Play] The Parson's Wedding by Thomas Killigrew - t

1.20 "parallel" for "parreal". I have no idea what the latter means and can't find it in online dictionaries, so might not be worth changing and it will be unlikely to make the line clearer. just a thought, maybe it's a typo for "distinct parent of wit bound by itself". "al" and "nt" are common OCR...

Re: [group] Poems by Alice Meynell -ck

if you use headphones in a normal environment and you dont hear any backgroud noise, you are fine. :) noisecleaning is not too great for the overall sound quality of the recording, so we try to not overdo it unless necessary. all right, then maybe we should leave it as it is. I'll mark it PL ok and...

Re: [group] Poems by Alice Meynell -ck

thank you sonia! just so you know, the checker is not always 100% reliable with the background noise. it is best to follow your ears only when assessing the noise level :) thank you! hmmm difficult to say, with my earplugs I never turn the volume up very loud, so as not to hurt my ears. I wasn't bo...

Re: [group] Poems by Alice Meynell -ck

Hi, I'm submitting the three sections I signed up for. I ran them through checker though they are on the louder 90dB side, hope they're ok. I'm submitting my first readings so please let me know if I need to fix anything. Thank you! :) Hello Daphne Just listened to your three poems. I like your rea...

Re: [poetry] The Three Taverns by Edwin Arlington Robinson -

It is quite a bit of work - on all sides. I totally agree. Especially because the mistakes were so minor. If you think the errors are minor enough that it can be called PL OK, I'm content to leave it. Yes I think it's ok. While I love having word-perfect, especially with poems, I am also realistic ...

Re: [poetry] The Three Taverns by Edwin Arlington Robinson -

Hello olpecc667 Ok, just had a listen to your lengthy Tavern poem once again... I was so keeping my fingers crossed that this time there wouldn’t be some other mistake in the reading, so that you would not feel compelled to re-read the entire thing again. That’s the problem with re-readings, that an...

Re: [poetry] The Three Taverns by Edwin Arlington Robinson -

Hello Jude Section 5: The dark hills and Section 20: Firelight Both are very energetically read, and somehow it fits the text of the poems. I quite liked it. Only found one minor discrepancy from the original, right at the end of The dark hills: You said “ the wars” in “Were fading, and all wars wer...

Re: [poetry] The Three Taverns by Edwin Arlington Robinson -

Well, I've never done this before, but that was UDP (Undedicated Proof Listener) perfect to my ear. "London Bridge", that is. I was particularly struck by "devil" in John's voice; perhaps he should read Othello sometime. And it was children singing in Sonia's. The give and take of conversation was ...
