That looks to be about 200 of the most recently released chapters. it doesn't look like you can searc...

the only thing is I'm not sure what kind of accent people would say I have. I grew up in Massachusetts, some people hear it and some don't.

If someone wants to listen to my recordings, say the recent Alexander's Bridge, I'd be happy to be categorized. My guess would be mild Northeast US.

chapter 9!

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/jo/alexandersbridge_09_cather.mp3

I recorded the end already but it's quite a bit longer, maybe 35 minutes, so it'll be another couple of days probably. I can only edit for about half an hour before I go bonkers.

...Welsh... that's the hard stuff. I love Welsh. But it has to be said, a fair amount of 'modern' vocabulary is just English respelled. I have a great photo of a garage ('garej') in Wales advertising 'teiars, batris, egsosts, siocs, brêcs'. (Tyres, batteries, exhausts, shocks ['si+vowel'='sh'], bra...

Also, if they learn Spanish well they may automatically be able to read (though not necessarily speak) reasonably well in other Romance languages (Italian, French, Portuguese, Catalan). Doesn't always work like that (maybe some brains are different), but I find I cope perfectly well with newspapers...
