this question of what english people call muffins has flummoxed me for a long time, from when i first read "the importance of being earnest" which as you may remember has quite a lot about people eating more than their share of muffins. only recently did my english-raised husband tell me these are w...

I also kind of suck at using the sewing machine. do they teach it in school anymore I wonder? I took home ec, and also my mother taught me, but I still can't...

Okey dokey, the MW is all filled in. There were two extra sections at the end that should be removed. Also, for book the fifth chapter III, we don't have beginning and ending sentences for some of the sections. I can sort that out later though.

Hi Stav! Leaping straight in... Could I have Chapter 3 of Book 1 - 'The Wreck of the Timber Ship' - ? It's probably more than one section, as it's 30 pages in my book. (In fact, if it wouldn't be horribly greedy, I'd like to do all 3 chapters of Book 1. Chapters 1 and 2 are very short. But I'll und...

read me some german?

it would be a great favor to me if a nice German speaker or two would record the following so i could learn how to pronounce it. pretty slowly would be good as i am completely ignorant of German. there's no rush as this is some chapters ahead already. (sorry about the all caps, that's how it is in t...

i believe amplify only causes clipping if you check the box that says "allow clipping". but i don't know what happens if you try to amplify too much and then don't check the box.
