I think that you should update the phpBB software on your forum as well as the design.
The design has been here for a few years and the software is buggy, so, in my opinion you should update the forum software.

I am technically and mechanically oriented.
I was having problems with my computer a while ago and fixed the problem.
} am working on a balance for my mic because it always makes a loud fuzzy sound in the background since I switched to Windows from Ubuntu

No, they work almost the same.
The WordPress.com is a WordPress.org setup with Multisite enabled.
