Re: Play Suggestions
I misplaced this the other day in the "Dramatic Readings Suggestions" section. This is obviously a more appropriate place for this: Some tunes that I wrote for the songs in a few of Shakespeare's plays are now in the PUBLIC DOMAIN on the Internet Archive -- very suitable for use in LibriVo...

Re: Dramatic Reading (DR) Suggestions
Some tunes that I wrote for the songs in a few of Shakespeare's plays are now in the PUBLIC DOMAIN on the Internet Archive -- very suitable for use in LibriVox productions: https://archive.org/details/ShakespeareScores I probably won't be available to take part in any productions for the next few mo...

Re: Why don’t more people read in the dramatic forum?
I've just put some of my settings of songs from several Shakespeare plays into the Public Domain, so they should now be usable in LV productions: https://archive.org/details/ShakespeareScores For the near-term future (next few months) I likely will not have time to push and take part in productions ...

Re: Re:
Let's not be afraid of people profiting from our work, if they find a need to do that. Maybe we (collectively or individually) will find a business use for our recordings. :-) I was shocked to learn that at least 4 of my solos, and many LV titles I recognize by their covers are now on YouTube, as F...

Re: public domain vs. creative commons non-commercial
I prefer public domain, because I think librivox should be libre free free free, but what do all of you think? Based on my experiences (in both software development and in audiobook publishing) in dealing with the various flavors of property rights that are ours to play with (open-source and propri...

Re: New desktop software for browsing the LibriVox collectio
Just to put everyone's (including my) mind at ease after Claudia told us that her antivirus software, Avast , had suddenly begun to quarantine LibriVox Explorer from CommonVox.org , and prevent her from running it (apparently labeling it as potentially being some sort of malware  ): I submitt...

Good news! Re: New desktop software for browsing the LibriVox collectio
Hi Claudia, In your blog posting (linked above) you suggest that you don't have any media player software on your Windows computer with which to play M4B (audiobook) files. If you're still looking for an M4B player, have you tried VLC Media Player? http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html While I can'...
