Weekend Librivox Jamboree

I will have some time this Saturday so if anyone really feels they can't do their chapter then, quite likely, I could help out with one.

It would be nice to increase the Librivox catalogue

Just a quick addendum. Those outside the US should probably exercise some care if distributing some of the Librivox recordings as I'm pretty sure quite a few are still in copyright in other countries. The usual rule outside US is 70 years after the death of the author so such as P.G. Wodehouse (died...

I know I've run across your username somewhere else, fenchurch. Did you ever play Pyroto Mountain? Or Badde Manors? It's great to have you here whether I know you from a previous life or not, actually... :D It could be the same person but it is quite a popular username in homage to the wonderful ch...

Though we certainly don't want to push you into reading if you really don't wish to, vee's exactly right - not a one of us likes the way we sound at first. LibriVox is a volunteer project and we're happy to have readers of ALL abilities helping with these projects. Having said that however, there i...

I'm posting a link here to chapter 12.
It's my first attempt at a recording so hoping I've got it right. If not please let me know.

Possible type - chapter 12 - 3 men in a boat

I've just been recording chapter 12 and encountered a line which seems a little odd. Can anyone with a paper copy confirm whether it actually does say what it appears to in the Gutenberg text ? And when they reached St. Albans, there would be that wretched couple, kissing under the Abbey walls. Then...

I do not know if you can do it directly, but here's my way. Record your piece in the seperate track, then mark it, copy (Ctrl+C) or cut it (Ctrl+X), move the marker to the point where you want to the piece to be and insert it (Ctrl+V). Your can remove the second track by clicking on the X in the le...

Re: Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome - AF/tc

Chapter XV Ah yes Can I claim this one? BTW If I've recorded something using Audacity and then I go back to insert a few words at the beginning (e.g. this is a librivox recording etc) how do I do this. It keeps wanting to lay down a seperate track at the same time as that which is already recorded. ...
