Wow, that was quick! I go away for a day and a half, and it's all done. And thanks, I'll look at those issues you mentioned. I know that I was having trouble with some popping, especially on the word "without" for some reason. I didn't want to have to re-record every sentence with that word in it, a...

Now would be a good time to set up a proof-listening thread. Have you done that before? If not, I can PM you a template. No, I've never done that before. I read the sticky thread on the Listeners/Editors wanted forum, and looked at the example of a couple of others, but I didn't realize there was a...

The reason I thought this up is because when Alice first tries to read it, she does not realise that it was written backwards, and thinks it's a foreign language. Pretending for a moment that the reader (not Caeristhiona) has never read the story before, (add three scoops of "willingness to suspend...

I use a software program to split my files into more manageable sizes. It's called Slice Audio File Splitter, and it's available for free at download.com. (Here's a link: http://www.download.com/Slice-Audio-File-Splitter/3000-2170_4-10580124.html?tag=lst-0-1). You can split a large file into any num...

If you record the stanza forwards, I could play it backwards on one computer and record it into another. That's a good idea, but I don't think you'd need two computers. Just play the file in Firefox and set Audacity to record, making sure that it records from "Wave Out Mix" instead of "Microphone."

TTM,
I think you might have forgotten to put my file in the magic window. I posted the link along with my questions about reading "Chapter" vs. "Section" in the introduction. It's no biggie; I just don't know if the links expire after so long.

Latin pronunciation help FOUND

I've got a part in David Hume's Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion where he quotes at length from two passages in Latin. Since I should probably learn Latin anyway, I decided to get an audiobook on classical Latin pronunciation. After a few hours of study, I'm pretty sure I know how to pronounce ...

I'm sorry! I completely forgot that you asked me to send them straight to your server. I've just gotten into the habit of putting everything on MediaFire. I went ahead and put them on the LibriVox Uploader.
