Re: Happy Anniversary Librivox!

April, I have a little under two hours left but the podcast is basically done and I'll be uploading to Cori soon, but as it it a little past 3am in England, I suspect it will be later this morning or maybe even in the evening before it is released. But I will have a link to it in the 7th Anniversary...

Re: Soloists: How Do You...

At the risk of voicing an opinion that is contrary to our mission, I feel that some books are best left silent on their pages. They just don't suit being read aloud. It still leaves an ocean of books that are worth reading aloud, many more than will ever be able to be read by zillions of LibriVoxers...

Re: LibriVox 7th Anniversary Podcast

Thank you, Algy! Yes, we do share a devotion to the Samson Go Mic. I wonder if I will ever use any other mic to record for LibriVox. While I have interesting results with others, for the convenience, and the quality compare to its astonishing price, I feel it cannot be beaten. (And there I have the ...

Re: Soloists: How Do You...

Piotrek, Is there any reason why you could not read these texts aloud to yourself in order to assess them? Because rather than trying to see how you can assess their oral suitability by silent reading, the easiest and surest way is simply to read it aloud to yourself. And if you feel you can't judge...

Julia, I hope you enjoy #130. It was a joy and privilege to converse with Hugh. And Brad Bush was an added treat.

Re: LibriVox 7th Anniversary Collection - arb

Hi Anne, I recorded these sonnets of Spenser and Shakespeare with the number seven in them in order to get the collection to a total of 77 sections. If some other people contribute some more sections before deadline and you want to keep the collection at 77, feel free not to include any of your choi...
