Re: LibriVox 7th Anniversary Podcast

It was really good! A nice mix of information, as well! Honestly, I didn't even know we did a podcast (as ashamed as I am to admit that!). But I am forwarding that info to all of my non-LV friends, just to let them know what goes on in our LV world. It is great advertising! I know it has to be a gr...

02 A Day With Samuel Taylor Coleridge http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/phi/dayswithgreatpoets_02_coleridge.mp3 Duration - 47:36 Whew! Very challenging. But I loved it. Not only the excerpts of his poetry, but the author's narrative around them was very well written and not the easiest to art...

Re: OPEN: Hippolytus by Euripides - ek

Hmmm, good question, Bob. I have always pronounced it "TROH-zen," but maybe this is wrong? Or maybe Murray is just manipulating the pronunciation to create the rhyme? In any case, if you want to make it rhyme, that would be fine with me. :? Hi, Elizabeth! Well, if you are leaving it up to me, I'm a...

Re: OPEN: Hippolytus by Euripides - ek

Elizabeth, Are we pronouncing the city as Tro-zen or Tro-zeen? I ask because, since Murray is making rhyming couplets and they all seem to be full rhymes, not near rhymes: To thee, aye, and to every man, I ween, From Athens to the marches of Trozên. In this line,"Trozên" seems to rhyme with "ween." ...

Re: LibriVox 7th Anniversary Podcast

Thanks, everybody! I'm glad you all liked the podcast. I was happy we had so many contributions. Piotrek, I tend to go in and out when listening to long audio, too, especially because I can't just sit and listen to spoken audio and do nothing else. I think there are ideal things to be doing while li...
