When downloading the 128kbs files for Good Wives by Louisa May Alcott, I get the chinese characters on tracks 1,8,13,17, and 23 and am unable to correct them.

When thousands of these from hundreds of sources hit your e-mail server, it is no longer funny, but work. There is a lot of creativity out there, if only their grammer could catch up.
