Re: [SCIENCE] Outline of Science Vol 2 by Thomson - ava

I just got to looking at my email, so this may be too late, but I will make the corrections to all three sections and upload them--if too late just ignore them. Only I may not be able to get them to you another day or so--I'll do my best beginning with the section that has the missing sentence. Mich...

Re: [SCIENCE] Outline of Science Vol 2 by Thomson - ava

I wonder why it is so hard to read aloud without stumbling, turning words inside out, and at least in my case changing the writer's grammar and vocalizing synonyms for the words! I never seem to have this problem while talking. I used to take recorded books for granted, even laughing when the reader...

Thanks for the info about labeling, unlike almost everything else, you can pause and put that lable thing in and you can also paste a note into it. I may also try the loud sound. Now if I could only learn how to splice in a soundbite correction that doesn't sound like it.

Re: [SCIENCE] The Elements of Botany by Ruschenberger - ava

I'll take chapter six,
I was just beginning to miss reading my old chapter several times of an evening--I think this one will go a lot faster though, now that I've begun to learn the ways of track insertion.

Re: ~[SCIENCE] The Outline of Science Vol. 3 by Thomson - av

Can someone tell me if there is a way to mark (highlight, bookmark or something) a track, using the Audacity beta--there should be a way to mark some spot you need to get back to but I haven't figured out how. It would save a lot of time.

And Ava, thanks for okaying my chapters.

Re: [SCIENCE] The Elements of Botany by Ruschenberger - ava

whoa! the thing's due in about a week and you don't like tardy people:)
I would sign up for some chapter(s),
but don't think I could finish by the 12th unless something miraculous happens to make me read out loud without stumbles that have to be corrected. (when does that happen, anyway?)

Re: ~[SCIENCE] The Outline of Science Vol. 3 by Thomson - av

No joke! I didn't know where to look first when I got there and saw I had first choice of EVERYTHING. But could I take chapters 11 (living creatures) 12 and 13 (chemistry)? I'll have the lagging section of volume 2 uploaded in a couple hours--sorry, I'm still new enough to be in the having to edit a...

Re: [SCIENCE] The Elements of Botany by Ruschenberger - ava

Hey thanks, I didn't know vol 3 was out, I'll have to run over there as soon as I post this. Yes I plan to keep reading in the sciences, I only wish they let you do voices...

And of course, I cannot wait until I can read a whole paragraph without turning a couple of words inside out.
