when you speak of 'tonal consistency', could you clarify a bit?
Does your voice change in some way? become higher or lower as if you suddenly had a cold? or is it the volume that changes?

a simple (and obvious) noise reduction tip
My beautiful big YETI microphone sits on my computer desk and does a wonderful job. But several hours ago it dawned on me that the microphone (drum roll) SITS ON MY COMPUTER DESK. Duh... Is it possible that some hum and/or vibration from my computer is conveyed directly through the desk to th...

David, Ooops! sorry I missed those.
Do you want just those four lines in another upload, or should I insert them before and after what I uploaded previously?

Re: Wiki page creation request - Making It Louder!
Greetings to all of us fledgling audio engineers out there! I had volunteered several weeks ago to help develop a simplified explanation for new LVers that suffer from low volume. And I still intend to help out with this, it's just quite complicated  . I agree that the simpler the better. So ...

Re: SOLO The Skylark of Space by E.E.Smith & L.H.Garby - ks
I am posting chapter 2 for your listening pleasure. :D Actually I had to record it twice. The first one was fine, but then I accidentally ran noise reduction a second time on the finished track and boy was THAT a mistake. Suddenly I sounded like a robot or like I was at the end of a pipe line. Maybe...

Re: SOLO The Skylark of Space by E.E.Smith & L.H.Garby - ks
OK, all set. One question, though. Will you be reading the editor's blurb as its own section, or will you include it with the first chapter? Phil answers: My preference is to just skip it and start with chapter 1 the way the author intended. The blurb is just that, an advert that was probably slapp...
