Drat! I used the wrong sample rate !!

Yep, I recorded a chapter using 22050 MHz sample rate instead of 44100.

Can this chapter be salvaged in any way? or must I record it again?

Re: ~[ADV]The tribulations of a Chinaman in China by J. Vern

Section 20 is PL OK. A slip of the tongue in section 21. And section 22 is PL OK except it has the wrong bit rate and sample rate. Lovely readings, Phil  Thanks Nadine. I have corrected the slip in section 21 and am uploading it again now. http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/le/tribulati...

Here is the corrected Chapter 4, with a full 5 seconds of silence at the end. Apparently I just can't keep my mouth shut for 5 seconds, eh? :D

Re: [CLASSICS] Commentaries on the Gallic War, Caesar-le

No problem. The corrected Chapter 12, with the overlong pause cut, is here.
Boy, I sure can tell this was one of my first recordings! It has lots of things I would not let pass now that I am 'seasoned'

Re: LibriVox Book Club: Two Years in the Forbidden City

(If this is not the way the book club works, forgive me. I don't know the rules) I have just completed listening to the book, 2 Years in the Forbidden City. The most interesting parts for me were the descriptions of 'everyday' life in the Imperial Court; what the ladies in waiting were expected to d...

Good Idea. Perhaps this year I will remember what I've read and listened to. An emoticon means I have finished that book. JANUARY 2011 1 :D :D Paths of Glory by Jeffery Archer. At the beginning of this month I finished listening to this book as a carryover from December. A biography. (CD format) He ...

Re: How to record for LibriVox

Kimberly: first of all welcome. The audio editing program Audacity that most of us use has many keyboard shortcuts to functions including some that emulate the mouse placement and movement. I'm not certain of course since I'm blessed with the ability to use a mouse but perhaps we can work it out. Gi...

Re: Been Around the Block, aah aah aah... 2

Thank you for that compliment, Guero. Yep, it is kinda scary isn't it? Apparently this recording thing comes very easy to me, both the recording and editing and it just zips along. That, coupled with the fun factor, the challenge of learning new things and big chunks of free time (I'm retired) = a l...

Re: Writing a Hot Key script

Karlsson, you and Hokuspocus are both bi-lingual, maybe tri-lingual for all I know. That is so impressive and I am envious. Thanks again and remember, that if you had not used the German keys, I would not have been pushed into actually studying and learning something. :? (both of my parents grew up ...
