Definitely AINE MEGAN and BENJAMIN PETER but known as Ben!

I just got back from a visit, and I'll post a link or a pic shortly.

The girl has been named: Aine (pron. ANYA) Megan. Apparently it is a Celtic name. :?:

The boy may be Ben, but not sure yet.

Granddad again x2!

Our two daughters were both pregnant, expecting their child about 1 month apart. Three days ago, the elder daughter was 2 weeks overdue, so went into the maternity hospital to be induced; after 2 days in labour she finally gave birth by Caesarian section last night (1st) to a baby girl weighing 10lb...

It certainly can't compete with the last 2 innings of the final Yankees/Diamondbacks game for sheer tension.

I am, though, looking forward the punch-up, er sorry, game between Brazil and Portugal today!

It certainly was meant tongue-in-cheek, no offence intended at all. I open my mouth and put my foot in it so often, I must have got confused. :D

Apologies.

I can understand a vegetarian diet (although I subscribe to the view that if we are meant to be vegetarian why are animals made of meat?) but not having to eat everything raw. Some pulses, for example, are inedible/poisonous when eaten raw, but are great when properly cooked. I like raw carrot and s...

Just watching my morning news show, it sounds like the officials running the tournament may try to ban the horns in the stadiums. But they are not just at the games. They are sold on every street for about $2.50 Canadian and they are blowing them in the streets all day and all night. The entire cit...

Beg pardon. I was confused by the time display, I forgot that the USA lives in the past as far as UK is concerned! (at least 5 hours behind) and saw the original post displayed here as 19th.
Apologies all round!

I thought (and Wikipedia agrees) that it was May 18th 1980. Mount St. Helens is most famous for its catastrophic eruption on May 18, 1980, My reason for saying this is, my wife and I married on May 18th 1985 and just this month celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Did the earth move for us? De...

Richard Pryor used the word extensively in the screenplay for Blazing Saddles. It was very funny. Sadly, a Congolese man in Belgium is now trying to get an early Tin Tin adventure banned (Tin Tin In The Congo) because he considers it 'racist'. There are far worse words than 'nigger' that have been r...

Wow - I am going to English National Opera's production of Satyagraha on March 6th at the London Coliseum. Ooh! I went when they did it there a couple of years ago. The puppetry is quite something... but the music, in parts - it wasn't a case of not liking it exactly; but its relentless repetitiven...
