Re: [COMPLETE] The Enchanted Typewriter, by J.K. Bangs - sj

Hi Cathy! My husband and I finished listening to Enchanted Typewriter the other week, and I just wanted to thank you for (1) bringing this wonderful little book into the light, and (2) your fantastic performance of it! I've recommended the recording to anyone who follows my G+ stream, and I'll be pu...

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

I have had the most horrible luck with illness. I've had a cold/flu thing with a cough that just lingers... and lingers... and lingers... and keeps me hoarse and unable to do much of anything in terms of recording. :(

Still interested, just unable to record at the moment!

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

Oh Em Gee, I have another chapter! With another song, even! http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/sylviebrunoconcluded_19_carroll.mp3 In which there's a lot of conversations about animals and religion, and Sylvie and Bruno sing what I tried to make into a slightly sappy-to-modern-ears (but sti...

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

Next chapter is up: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/sylviebrunoconcluded_18_carroll.mp3 It's quite short - only 5:25. Whether it's sad or happy depends on your opinion of Arthur. Also, I put together a first draft of a "music video" of my song. You can see it on YouTube here: http://www....

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

I have been remiss. I only have one chapter to show for my (eek!) 3-month absence. http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/sylviebrunoconcluded_17_carroll.mp3 21:30. The song is my own composition, which I release into the public domain. The guitar was played by my computer. Sorry for the long d...

Just posting to say I'm still alive and still interested, though I haven't done much recording of late.

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

Back with another chapter! (You'd think I'd get these out a lot more frequently than I do, but.. it just doesn't work that way somehow.) http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/sylviebrunoconcluded_16_carroll.mp3 In which we hear the last verse of Tottles (with accompaniment, and cadenza!), thin...

Re: Gregg Margarite passes away suddenly

Oh jeepers! I'm awfully sorry to hear that. Gregg was a great reader, and was an enthusiastic contributor to the Ghost/Horror Stories collections when I was curating them.

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

Here I am again, with another chapter:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/sylviebrunoconcluded_15_carroll.mp3

in which we hear the conclusion of Bruno's Picnic. Much eating happens.

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

Woops! Sorry for being idle so long. Here, finally, is chapter 15, in which a story for three-year-olds is told to a five-year-old. (Bruno reminds me VERY strongly of my nephew, who's five and pretty insistent that grownups do as he wants during playtime or storytime.) http://upload.librivox.org/sha...

Re: [CHILDREN] Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, by Lewis Carroll

Chapter 13 is up: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/sylviebrunoconcluded_13_carroll.mp3 In which Carroll pokes fun at the tenure system, and unwittingly demonstrates that politics haven't changed much in the past 100+ years. Greg, I'm so glad you're enjoying the book and my reading of it! ...
