I'm Auditioning For A Show And For The First Time...

...I'm nervous. Why? Because it's a musical. I haven't done one of those in about 15 years and I can count on one hand the number of musicals I've done because...I suck at song selection. Fortunately, this time the director is a friend of mine and that makes it a bit easier. I think I got a couple o...

Well, yeah, but you've got to find someone who's willing to do all the hard work and give you the plum part. Ruth Don't mind me, I'm just green 'cos I can't record my favourite authors as they all lived too long. That kinda was the original point (although voicing the parts is also some w...

It's PD in the USA but not in England (which is a life+70 country); that's what icyjumbo means. Ah, I see. Never thought of that. russiandoll's also right about it reducing the pool of readers for the piece. So PG cannot be relied upon for copyright status in other countries, but what can? Is there...

I thought it was about time to stretch myself a little, so I was about to offer. But the wretched author died in 1958! Ask me again in another 20 years, and I'll be glad to oblige. Bloomin' 70 year rule! <stomps off> Hey icy, Might want to look again. According to Wikipedia, the play was produced i...

Like To Do Collaborative Play, Not Coordinate

Hey there,

I put a suggestion in the Dramatic Works forum but nothing happened, so I'll ask here.

I'd like to see Hobson's Choice done (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/6347) but not coordinate, as I'm not organized enough for it. Any suggestions?

Brickbats?

I think I'll die just to cheese 'em off.

Hey Catharine,

Got Body Snatcher uploaded. Wish I had the URL, but it looks like my PC removed it from the clipboard. Damn.

Here's the source:

Hey Catharine,

Could you please reserve a spot for me? I'll be doing Stevenson's The Body-Snatcher. Thanks.

Hey there,

As an actor, this hurts. One of my heroes is gone:

He's finally going to see Number One.

Be Seeing You, Mr. Drake.

Any chance I could sneak in my solo version of A Christmas Carol? (bats eyelashes coquettishly)

Um... The accent listeners are most likely to encounter? I don't think it'll be realistic to ask for every accent you've ever done in a LV recording. Although, if you want to share the info, knock yourself out :D. (My French recordings would be "Québécois attempting to sound neutral"... LOL) Thanks...

Okay, got mine in. Now, is this accents we have or accents we do...

...or both?
