I used to get in trouble for reading after bedtime using the light that came in under the door. I was scolded and told I would ruin my eyes. I always said 'It won't ruin them, it will strengthen them!'

Now I'm the only one in the family who doesn't need glasses. Coincidence?

Unfortunately, it's against ebay's rules to put an outside website in the listing. Really? Then this guy is going to get in trouble because he has a link to LibriVox in his listings, at least in the few of his items I looked at, directly to the book in question. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcoo...

Someone from Librivox makes a cd (any cd -War of the worlds would be great.) and auctions it off at ebay.... but the cost is soooooooo low and in the description we state very clearly that these files can be downloaded at our site. I imagine if someone sold them for that much, they'd get negative feedback from the first person who discovered they were available for free (even if the disclaimers were chopped off, *someone* would recognize the material. Freedom to do what they like with the material also means freedom to accept ...

The first section is a little odd, and at first I thought it was an anonymous narrator, but then there's this bit: When the writer of these introductory lines (Walter Hartright by name) happens to be more closely connected than others with the incidents to be recorded, he will describe them in his o...
