Re: LibriVox and Ubuntu

I've been using Ubuntu longer than I've been using Librivox so I can't help with your switch over but I've bookmarked this thread to check back in case you have any questions down the road. I have Checker installed and haven't encountered any problems with it. I use Audacity for recording and editing.

---I sent you a lengthy reply which is now gone because I'm not forum adept yet. If I'm writing a long response I type it up in a text editor such as NotePad, save it often, correct and re-arrange it, and then copy/paste into my reply here. Even being forum adept, sometimes the gremlins take over. :P

Re: Covering up stumbles... and then getting nervous?

Breathe. :) Take five slow controlled breaths, concentrating on the physical aspect of it and the counting. Not deep breaths but just be aware of the breath in and the breath out. This helps me relax physically and mentally when I begin to get anxious.

Re: ~[SOLO/HISTORY] The Chronicles of Crime Vol 2 by Camden Pelham - darv

Colleen, The names that you have in the Notes fields could go into the Title fields. That way they will be entered into the metadata in each individual file and show up on most mp3 players to be more informative to the listener. You don't need to, it's up to you, I just wanted to offer you an altern...

Thanks Kristine!

Garth,

I've added Kristine as DPL and moved us to Going Solo. For the "Title" cell in the MW you can just put "Section 1", "Section 2", etc., if you choose. Or you can put the descriptive headings of the author's sections that are in that particular file. Your choice.

Kristine,

I'll move us over to Readers Wanted. If we get some sections in before we have a proof-listener we can always advertise.

Re: ~ [SOLO] A Short Description of Torre Abbey by Hugh R. Watkin - darv

Hi Garth, OK, your MW awaits! It appears that you haven't soloed before. :) So here is some information about your new responsibilities. As a soloist, you are your own BC (Book Coordinator) and therefore in charge of updating the Magic Window. There are detailed instructions for soloist BCs in our w...
