Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Hi Chris,

I've just put the notes in Section 11. Generally, it's pretty good. I hope to work on Section 12 some time tomorrow. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Hi Chris,

Glad to see that you're back in Librivox action. Hope school, work, etc. have been going well. I'll listen to the section tomorrow and get back to you with comments. I know that they'll be good! :)

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Hi Chris,

Hope school and work aren't driving you too crazy. Just wanted you to know that I'll probably be taking the recording plunge soon. I still haven't worked up the nerve, but you should have a chance to critique me fairly soon!

I've OK'd Section 10. Thanks for the info. on the mic. By the way, what's Xbox?? Just kidding! I love those modern things. I still remember how excited we all were when the wheel first came out!

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

We must be on the site at about the same time. By the way, what sort of recording/editing equipment do you use? I need to figure out what to get.

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Hi Chris,

The sentence of the day is: "The connubial cannibals shared some after-dinner cannabis."

Thanks for updarting Section 9. I'll listen to it tomorrow.

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Hi Chris, The word of the day is: "connubial". Yeah, I'm sure you want to hear that! I didn't emphasize that it's a 4 syllable word: Co-NOOB-i-al. I marked the 3 spots on Section 9 where it needs to be corrected. At 16:59 there's also a word that needs to be corrected. Other than that, it sounds pre...

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Hi Chris, Hope you're having a good Saturday, in spite of some of my confusing directions. On Section 1:08, it could use a little bit longer pause. You can ignore the other 1:08 mark. I meant 1:18, but it actually sounds OK. I didn't mean to be confusing about the "Co NOOB i al" pronunciation. It wa...

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Hi Chris,

I've marked Section 8 "OK". The only thing odd about it were the two sections where you corrected the pronunciation for "Vite Chapel". Your voice sounded different on those. Were you wearing a Darth Vader mask at the time?

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Hi Chris,

I've made notes for Sections 8 and 9. It's not as formidable as it looks. In Section 9 I suspect that the spirit of my old high school English teacher may have possessed me.

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

This is my first big plunge into the Librivox pool. These stories are kind of neat. I look on them as a 19th century version of reality shows like "Judge Judy," or maybe some of the "World's Dumbest" shows.

Re: [SOLO] Mornings at Bow Street by John Wight - gu

Well, I thought I answered this and saved it as a draft, but I can't figure out where to find it! Anyhoo, I just noticed your note about "orangutan" in Section 7. Sorry that I forgot to mark it. It's at 03:41. I just downloaded Section 7 to listen to it, but it doesn't seem to have the corrections i...

Glad that it's fixed. Chris may have taken care of it. If there are grimlins around, hope they quit messing with us...wait! That's what grimlins do!!
