Re: [ADVENTURE FICTION] Kangaroo by D. H. Lawrence-mtf

kangaroo_29_lawrence_128Kbcor.mps has been uploaded. (added the 'cor' suffix to distinguish from my first effort). Thanks for the careful listening, that dang foliage has been a bugaboo of mine for a while. I THINK I have the correct Coo-ee-ed now (had to stop and think back to the last time I round...

Re: [ADVENTURE FICTION] Kangaroo by D. H. Lawrence-mtf

I'm kind of new, so I may have left something out, but If so, let me know and I'll fix it. If I don't hear back, I'll start on the next section. Thanks. PS I didn't do any sort of effects or leveling (was a little intimidated by on the Audacity options) but it I need to , please advise. I'm sure I'l...

Hmmn...sounds a little ominous, distortion effect. I think I'll try your suggestion first. Thanks much.

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

I hope this is a simple question: Did Audacity rename the "effect" tool formerly known as "leveler"? My version 2.2.2 has lots of effects, but no "leveler" as discussed in our Audacity help section. (My volume wavered a bit (as I must've) and I'd like to "even" out the volume. Thanks.

Re: [ADVENTURE FICTION] Kangaroo by D. H. Lawrence-mtf

Yes, I'd be glad to do part 2 of chapter 10. It IS a little rough adapting to the old language patterns , but it seems to get better once you get into it. I'm going to tweak part 1 a bit, sort of to get familiar with the software, etc., but I'll get it in soon. Thanks

Re: Testing...testing...testing

Oops, hope I didn't blast your ears with that 192 kbps file - technical stuff is not my forte. I uploaded the same recording after converting to MP3 using a 'constant' 128kbps setting. Thanks for whatever else you can suggest. Thanks, Brize https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/test_brizecrize_ta...

Re: Another new reader from the UK

Very interesting comments Andrew, I've always been fascinated by the many different 'brands' of English, even within countries. I always make a point of trying to pinpoint where a person is from (here in the states I mean - Britain, Australia and even Canada are easy) by their accent and, perhaps pa...

Hello from Youngstown

Hello from Youngstown everybody! I move my lips when I read anyway, so I figured I might as well record it, right? I would say that the 19th century is my go-to century right now, although I like most of them. Even like reading some non-fiction, as long as it's SOMEWHAT interesting info,or periphera...
