Re: [GROUP] The Rainbow by D.H. Lawrence - tg

Is it okay if the same reader doesn't necessarily record all sections of a single chapter? If so, I'd like to sign up for section 37. I'm just a bit intimidated by the thought of claiming all seven sections of that chapter at once!

Sure thing. I'd be fine with editing longer pauses into Act 1 and re-uploading, but I'll leave that up to you as to whether I may.

Here's Narrator Act 1:

File length: 20:08

Saying "Holroyd" that much gets to be a bit of a tongue-twister!

Thank you!

Holroyd act 1 https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/widowingofmrsholroyd_holroyd_1.mp3 Hope I made him sound unpleasant enough :hmm: Act I sounds great! There's just one minor thing: at 2:58, "Yi, come on wi' thee" is repeated. Would you like to edit out one of them so that the take that you'd prefer...

Michele, do I need to wait for you to update the MW to "Ready for PL" before PLing or anything like that? If so, I'm sorry I jumped the gun.

That's right after the title.
Personally I would not say footnote but just the "written in August, 1884", possibly with a little change of voice.

But it's up to you, what you prefer.
Ah, now that I think about it, it does make more sense to leave out "footnote." Thanks!

Section 26 has a footnote. Should this read word-for-word as the following? "The Lord of Lords. Footnote: Written in August, 1884. End of footnote. We are in the midst of a political crisis," etc. Or is there another preferred wording?

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

What kind of headphones are you using? Are they noise-canceling headphones? If so, can you turn off that feature? What sort of"noise issues" do you hear over the speakers, but not with the headphones? Are you sure it's not an artifact of the speakers themselves? They're USB headphones (non-noise-ca...
