Re: Public Domain question

Kindle is not a trusted source. If it isn't on PG , you need to find a scanned copy somewhere - Archive and Haithi are good starting places Archive has a heap of books from him , mainly in Dutch but including this https://archive.org/details/calvinismsixlect00kuyp/page/n9 which seems to be what you ...

Re: Audacity won't record sound in Win 7

Easy thing first - is your microphone plugged in before you open Audacity? Audacity only recognises it if it's there when it starts up.

I'm so pleased that you are finishing the Histories :9: . Especially after having me as an MC at first when my Greek was purely based on knowing the alphabet for scientific purposes
Hurray

Re: Finding Solo Works

Thanks, Devorah, for that correction. I just meant the old files won't be used in a brand-new Solo. The difference is of much importance, so thanks for pointing that out. Would you please amend your post so that incorrect information is not left for the next person who comes along. Because what you...

Re: Finding Solo Works

Thank you Devorah - that is correct  The abandoned thread is NOT set up because "we" want the project in the catalogue. it is because "we" want to give people who started something and were unable to complete it for various reasons a chance to have their work in the catalogue. And many of the ...

Re: [PROBABLY NOT PD] Why hasnt the unibomber's manifesto been done?

I think this conversation is getting "not nice" in spots so let's stick to the facts. Librivox does not censor projects . Librivox will not record anything published after 1923 unless it is available on site that we know is trustworthy in it's checking of PD status. This applies to all texts, whethe...

Re: Finding Solo Works

Why not wait till you find something you really care about and continue picking up chapters in group projects? You might find an author you really enjoy reading aloud
There is no rush - and your solo will sound better if you enjoy the book and be much more fun.

Re: Samuel L Brengle books - new source added?

Your claim is on the project page which is at present waiting till the scanned PD copy is available to use. When that happens it will come out of hiding.
I moved it as conducting the same conversation over multiple threads is very confusing :D

Re: [SOLO]The Prophet, by Kahlil Gibran-ans

You are forgetting to set the ready for PL flag in the MW - that tells Helen it's there on her PL page - which is just like your reader page. I'm not sure whether she does it that way or by subscribing to the thread but it's easy to set
