Re: Volunteer CD Covers! Working Thread

Thank you - I couldn't resist the plate/platter/tray . I've seen coronation plates, usually with transfers but a whole family moulded I found irresistible. I wonder how big it is ?

Re: SOLO Nada the Lily by H. Rider Haggard-ans

Yes it can be read but we won't accept it or set it up until the 1st January - and it will need a text source. At the top of the book suggestions there is a sticky giving the policy for 2019 and it will be the same for 2020, that's for LV though. If you are recording in a death plus 70 country - he ...

I always use this way for our catalogue search but had never thought of using it in assigning readers - thank you.

I think it would be better if you kept the suggestions together in your other thread - but I would have to say few people here would have the expertise needed to produce an ebook as Tricia said. We produce audiobooks so anyone who wanted to help would need to join over there.

Re: Books Written by African-American Authors (not yet in the catalogue)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by categorise, its a book by a single author, with a number of shorter stories with the title of the first one - there are many similar in the catalogue. If you just set it up as a solo, your MC will help you with the finer details. The first story looks too long for...

Welcome to LibriVox - 1 step at a time is the best way to go. Many of us had not even had the microphone experience you have, but we got there :D

Re: [SOLO] Public Domain Permaculture Pamphlets

I've edited my first response and the times it has been quoted to make it clear what I said "was a good idea". It seemed a bit ambiguous. I still not convinced we could accept it for the reasons I gave not because I don't think it would be worthwhile but because I am not confident that the "editor" ...

Re: author of several books

In general this would not be accepted for LibriVox. We are a group of volunteers reading public domain texts and we don't have the resources necessary to investigate copyright so we rely on either the basic USA rule of things published 1923 or earlier , or Project Gutenberg's investigations. You cou...

IP[HUMOUR]The History Of The Devil by Daniel Defoe

The History of the Devil by Daniel Defoe This book is divided into two parts: first, the history of the devil from his fall from heaven up to the time the book was written and second about his private conduct. Partly funny, partly religious, and partly critical of what was written before, the book ...
