Re: grp/ novel Miss Crespigny by Frances Hodgson Burnett-ag

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/misscrespigny_01_burnett_128kb.mp3 21:31 Thank you for this very lovely reading, Grace. There is only one minor edit to make - Instead of the 5 seconds of silence at the end, there is about 7 minutes. File should be clipped off at 14:24. :) Many apologies! Thank...

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/rocket_fireballoon_wilde.mp3 0:39 Thanks, Grace. The final line is missing, though: the fire balloon says “Good bye!” before exploding. https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/rocket_fireballoon_wilde.mp3 0:46 Thanks Rob for your patience. Best wishes as you put all ...

i amplify the volume of a single breath
That's great! After all, Basil Rathbone's breathing sounded great, so why not? It's all a matter of personal preference.

Re: Breath control tips?

I have gotten sweaty and dizzy while recording, and realized that it was because I wasn't breathing. I haven't taken on any solo projects yet, so what I do might not be practical in the long run, but I copy and paste my text into a document. I add a line break or "/" where I want to breathe. I also ...

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

the external drive is like a poorly managed auto junkyard.) Kevin, I love your humor! The key to moving the .aup and data files is to do them in pairs and to never re-name them. So, .aup and data files go from my In Progress folder, to my Audacity folder, and then to the auto junkyard. They progres...

The .aup files and data files do use lots of space. I delete them once I've made my MP3.
Phil,
I came across something at the Audacity forums about being careful about deleting and renaming .aup and data files a certain way, but now I can't find it. Do you take any special precautions?
Thanks.

Well, Sonia - the wonderful Sonia - has taken the time to annotate a copy of the script with all the character names in front of the sentences they have to speak. Now it looks a bit like the normal drama plays. So I won't need extra help to edit this after all. Thanks, Todd Sonia and Todd, you two ...

Re: Bloopers - 2

Dreary weather here. Feels more like April than January. We had January in November. Hope this brightens your day.

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

I notice some people when posting pictures of audacity have red lines at 0.5 levels, to let them know their volume is in the right zone. How do I set those red lines to appear in my Audcacity screens? It would be helpful on an interface level. I think that the red lines were in an older version of ...
