Re: ~[SOLO] Shirley by Charlotte Brontë - kit

I should probably have read the forum first, but it has come to my attention that this project has been on hold for a little while. Is the reader planning on starting to record soon? I know it's a longer book, and I am hesitant to start a project that will move very slowly as my schedule is subject...

And yes, French would help as there are quite a few sentences in French in some chapter, at least so far. I'll give you access to the MW right away. :) Sonia I should pr...

Re: Book Recommendations for Listening

Oh wow!!! Who knew Wikipedia could be so helpful? Thank y'all! Tricia G, your assumption was correct! I am not-so-secretly hoping that one of these works will at least vaguely resemble Jane Eyre, if only by genre.

Any book recommendations, particularly Gothic or Bildungsroman pieces? On or off LibriVox is fine! Thanks in advance!

Chapter 2 https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/bealbyaholiday_02_wells_128kb.mp3 1:06:28.56 Thanks J Great recording, there was possibly an error at 4:57 "alth-very well." It was unclear if it was a mistake or part of the dialogue. Thank you, I've reviewed the note at 4:57, I believe it to be...

Re: Who would you like to be?

Probably Jane Eyre. Intelligent, philosophical, independent, kind, non-superficial, with a strong character.

I should note that what I added to the end is "end of section 11" but I am not sure if that is what I was supposed to add. I can't seem to locate the PL notes for section 11. Sorry.
The ending statement should say (at least if I remember correctly) "end of chapter -"

Re: One Book A Week Club 2019

I'm hoping to reach my 2019 goal of 100 free-read, non-school books, mostly classics with a few light reads in between. So far, I have read or re-read approximately 80: The Life of Pi, Jamaica Inn, Julie and Julia, The Devil Wears Prada, 1776, 1984, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Educated, The A...
