No, Gren, we did not have a dpl until you came along. Welcome to Librivox and have a lot of fun.
Thank you! This looks like a lot of fun! :)

This sounds really interesting!

I'd be interested in being a DPL, if you're still looking for one :)

You can go forth and record.

Have fun!
I shall! Thank you. :D
(As soon as I get a new mic. I don't fancy re-doing everything several times over, trying to hit the sweet spot of 86.5 dB with my voice every time I record.

Re: Please, listen to my test recording

To check your recording you can use the Librivox Checker (a free programme): https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker Volume should be between 86 and 92 dB You would probably get better results with your stand alone microphone. Thank you for the lovely compliment and advice. This is my new and c...

Re: ~[SOLO] The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran-mas

Hello!

Am jumping the gun by volunteering to DPL, or do you already have someone in mind for this project?
Gren

(Though I haven't done proof listening on librivox before, I do have some experience in PLing for others.)

Re: ~[HUMOR]Sayings Of Mrs. Partington by B.P. Shillaber-ag

Hello :)
does this project have a DPL (though the tilde suggests otherwise, but being new here, I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes), or could I also help out?
(I'd be interested in reading as well, after I get an OK for my 1-minute test.)

Hi, a Newbie here!

Could I ask you to reserve section 31 for me, please?

I've uploaded my 1-minute test and am waiting for an OK on it, but Ebenezer Ellison sounds like so much fun, I wouldn't like to miss out on him.
(If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to be known as Gren in the catalogue)

Please, listen to my test recording [OK]

Hello, here's my 1-minute test. Is it OK?
I've recorded it using Audacity on Win10 with a mic that is a part of my earplugs (have one that is separate as well, if you think it might help?)

Thanks! Gren

Hello! :) Thank you for your advice.
(I'll definitely make sure I've studied up on how to go about things and try to take a smaller part in some available projects before embarking on a whole book. ) Gren

Greetings and salutations from a small place near Prague!

Hi! So yeah, the email suggested it might be polite to introduce myself before going forth and trying to record/proofread/librivox stuff, so here I am :D The name is Kristýna, but I figure that the nick Gren might be easier for most to pronounce. I'm 25, live in the Czech Republic, love animals, Eng...

I am a fellow Czech person and also new here. If you'd like to do a collab on Erben or Saturnin or such like, or just chat in Czech, I'd be game.
