Re: OPEN [DR] Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Kate Douglas Wiggin-ma

Here's the song bit (Shall we gather at the river)- I sang it with the track. I changed the original chapter 5 filename to rebecca_05_rebecca(original) but I can always change it back, flipping both titles vice versa if needed. Thanks!

Re: OPEN [DR] Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Kate Douglas Wiggin-ma

Twinkle, In chapter 19 the text said I (as Rebecca) was supposed to sing a paragraph of song. However, I am not provided with any links to the melody, so should I just say the words with no melody, in a regular speaking tone? Thanks, ~JayKitty It's up to you. :) Sometimes readers will make up their...

Re: OPEN [DR] Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Kate Douglas Wiggin-ma

Hi. Can I do Delia Weeks (4) if still free? This would be my first dram reading - is there any guidelines on reading for one anywhere? I assume Delia is in chapter 7 and 26, and I record a seperate file for each chapter. Thanks, Alice Hi Alice, Welcome to the dramatic works section of LibriVox! Her...

Rebecca chapter 5 ready for PL: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/rebecca_05_rebecca.mp3 I forgot to follow along with the media while the song was playing, but hopefully it's the right tempo. The automatic cut off is 1922 or earlier, but there are odd exceptions in USA law, and so anything post that date need careful checking.

Anne
Thank you, I didn't know that. I'll check all my projects very carefully from now on.

Thanks,

Here's Rebecca chapter 7 ready for PL:

I amplified by 5.237 or something decimally related like that.

Here's Rebecca chapter 6 ready for PL:

https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/rebecca_06_rebecca.mp3

Like chapter 5, I've amplified by 6.012 and hopefully my 'baste like a house afire!' section isn't too loud.

Re: Golden Name Day

Oh thank you, I have seen a couple books in the public domain published in 1923. But you're right, it is mostly before then.

Re: hi [Do I need software?]

In the LibriVox wiki there are links where you can download Audacity (which is what most volunteers use here) and LAME. Audacity records the sound, transferring them into soundwaves, and enables you to edit afterwards if you save a .AUP file of it. LAME transfers the sound files into .mp3 files when...

A note: All LibriVox recordings must be in the public domain (e.g., published on or before 1923).
