I've been enjoying ebooks on my way to work for a while now.
Initially I was annoyed by the MP3 format's larger size, and low quality.
But I am thinking of making ebooks myself; of higher quality (for myself) and sharing it with librivox in MP3 format.

Clipping is cutting off peaks of data. In most softer cases, clipping won't do much harm, as any pc nowadays can clip up to 3dB without really losing quality. The MP3 format,
I've seen plenty of MP3 formats on this site of 64 to 128kbps, 22kHz to 44.1kHz, mainly mono files.
I suppose you'd want the MP3 to be CBR; but the bitrate has to be below 128kbps?

Is it possible to use VBR or ABR instead (simply because I find CBR MP3 to be of such low quality)?
