Re: [NATURE] Birds and Nature, Volume XII No 3 Oct 1902 - jo
Nice ! Thank you! Unfortunately, it doesn’t have pronunciation of the plural of stria, “striae”.
BUT.. I just found the site called “ howjsay”... this seems pretty good for pronunciations!

Re: [NATURE] Birds and Nature, Volume XII No 3 Oct 1902 - jo
Hmm.. a couple word pronunciations I’m unsure of... striae... Anybody know? Is it pronounced strahy-ee?
And “fungi”..... My old dictionary says “fun’ji” (long i)... like funj-eye?
Are there a REALLY good online dictionary somewhere?

Re: [NATURE] Birds and Nature, Volume XII No 3 Oct 1902 - jo
Friends, I have a question regarding the second sentence in The Leaf Butterfly. Specifically: “...is that relation which obtains when...” I guess I’ve never seen the word “obtains” used in that manner. Any suggestions on phrasing? How to read that sentence? How would that part of the sentence be wri...

Here is Section 13:

I'm trying a new microphone AND new software (OcenAudio). I think it's loud enough (-3.0dB max) as well as quiet enough (minimal background noise).

Re: [group] My Favorite Fairy Tales - phil
[/quote]Hello, You did a great job and the voices worked well. No need to worry there. The only thing I could possibly offer is when a voice gets loud (yelling, emotional, etc) back slightly away from the mic. This will leave the full effect of the emotion without actually changing the volume. PL OK...

Hi Phil! Here is Bluebeard for your review... mm:ss = 10:23 Wide open to any suggestions or comments. Struggled a bit deciding what to do with Bluebeard's speaking parts. Especially since my voice is not very "big" or "dangerous" sounding to begin with. And this was my first time...

I must admit, this story was a bit of a surprise to me! Apparently, I'm not the first person to confuse Bluebeard with Blackbeard (the pirate).philchenevert wrote: ↑July 17th, 2018, 7:40 amYes you may. Watch out though, Bluebeard is not a nice guy.
