Re: [OPEN] Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, trans. by Brian Hooker-mtf

Could I get dibs on Lignière, Act 1?

Also, I saw you mention that accents aren't necessary, but I REALLY feel like (after reading his lines) his character would best be conveyed in a French accent. Mind if I give that a shot?

Re: (Essays) G.K. Chesterton in America: A Catholic Review of the Week - m8b1

Sure! Thanks for the feedback. I've corrected the silence at the beginning and end, but I'm not sure about how much to amplify the sound. How many DB should I be looking for? Also, try as I might, I can't seem to find how to change the kbps and constancy of the track. Sorry to be a pain, but regard...

Re: (Essays) G.K. Chesterton in America: A Catholic Review of the Week - m8b1

Here is section 8: https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/gkamerica_08_chesterton_128kb.mp3 8:34 Sorry that took so long! Thank you! Nice job! There a couple of issues. First, the volume is much to low at 76.3 DB. A straight amplification should solve that issue. Also, the bit rate is 88kbps and variabl...

Part 8 is probably just fine. :) When I click on the link, it doesn't let me access the piece, unfortunately! Is there a workaround for how I can access it?

Re: (Essays) G.K. Chesterton in America: A Catholic Review of the Week - m8b1

Hi! I just noticed (it's been a long month) that I've been reassigned to a different section, but I can't seem to access the material. I clicked on the link for section 8, and nothing seems to be happening. I am new around here, so perhaps I'm doing something wrong! Could anybody guide me to find th...

Re: (Open) [DR] The Mystery of a Hansom Cab by Fergus Hume - tg

I don't think I'd suit those roles, as I have the voice of a transgender man! :) I know my name can be confusing. 😅 As such, I kind of sound like a teenage boy or young man. Are there any roles that that kind of voice might suit? I'm so sorry about that. I'll step down and let Annie suggest a role ...

I'd like to claim the Preface, if I can. Hi, Skye! Welcome to the Cab. Unfortunately, this section is already taken by the Narrator, Annie. The Magic Window for the Dramatic Reading may be confusing at first. We would like you to participate. Here are the Open Female roles that you can record. Juli...

Second time's the charm?

Hi, there! I'm skyewardeye (Skye), and I've come on here and introduced myself once before, but I didn't end up doing anything with the forum or even recording. I've recently gotten up the gumption to finally get recording. I've got a quick question that I hope someone can answer for me. I've looked...
