Re: (SOLO) Fifty Years Ago by Walter Besant - dc

by aniroo Chapter 2, Section PL NOte: at around 9:45, you read massacre in New ENGLAND instead of Massacre in New Zealand. Aw, shucks. It was only the first three letters that were different. :( I'll be quiet for 7+ days as I am going to be busy outfitting a new personal laptop, same CPU power as m...

Re: (SOLO) Fifty Years Ago by Walter Besant - dc

Sections 02 and 03 are ready for PL. aniroo, I've been swamped for the last couple of weeks. I hope my time will free up some after this coming week so I can focus more on narration, both for this and another project I have going outside Librivox. I haven't checked the audiobook you recommended to m...

Re: (SOLO) Fifty Years Ago by Walter Besant - dc

Sections 00 and 01 are ready for PL.

aniroo,
I'm going to try to post one or two sections here each week (depends on the length), but I currently have quite a bit going on in my part time work and a narration I am doing for someone that will take a couple of months for me to complete.

smike » Today, 12:32 pm I'd like to DPL, if you'll have me. Hi, Claudia, I did extended a feeler toward aniroo and will give her 48 hours to reply as to whether she has an interest in being DPL. If she chooses not to - or does not respond in that time, I would be honored to accept your offer! Gary

craigdav1 » 49 minutes ago MW coming up. edit: I removed the translator and made a few minor editorial changes. I also reduced the number of sections to 20 as there is a preface and 19 chapters and we can always add more sections if we need them. Without the numerous illustrations the chapters do n...

Re: (SOLO) Fifty Years Ago by Walter Besant (1836 - 1901)

pnagami » 40 minutes ago Gary, Walter Besant always wrote in English, I think. Perhaps your translator is the editor? Pam Pam, I thought I left the Translator box blank. I am not aware of any editor other than Besant, himself. And, yes, it is in English, which is the language I checked. Sorry, but ...

Lynnett, I hate saying this, but I feel I need to bow out of my commitment to Section 2. I am not going to get it done in a reasonable time. :(

I wonder if his wife is related to K Ross Toole. He's a well know Montana historian.
aniroo
I'd guess there is a pretty strong possibility. Her father had four brothers including the Governor.

aniroo,
I've dropped off Sections 17 and 18 for you. Another 6500 words to go!

Been trying to work on it a little each day - and get smarter about how I approach recording and editing.

Re: (Solo) Memories of Old Montana by Con Price - m8b1

I think your pace is wonderful. No changes needed. aniroo That is good to hear. I've just added Sections 14 through 16 to the list to be reviewed. They are a bit slower, intentionally. 14 and 15 are done around 140 words/minute and I think they sound a little slow. It's all about gaining experience...

Section 13 is ready for review PS IF you didn't "screw up" once in a while, I'd be out of a job. aniroo Well, you will not have to worry about that while I am around. :D Gary BTW, I am wondering if I am narrating too quickly on some of the chapters. If you feel like I should slow down, ple...
