Re: [GRP/FIC] It Is Never Too Late to Mend by Charles Reade - tg

Hi Tricia,

So I am going to pass on Chapter 8 because of the French. There must be someone who will be better at French. I am working on Chapter 9.

Re: [GRP/FIC] It Is Never Too Late to Mend by Charles Reade - tg

Ok, fair enough. My pronunciation isn't completely off, it would just be really obvious that I am pure Anglo. I've recorded it twice and the French doesn't come out naturally, you know? I hesitate through it which ruins the reading in my opinion. If anything I would throw the chapter back into the m...

Re: [GRP/FIC] It Is Never Too Late to Mend by Charles Reade - tg

Hi Tricia
Chapter 8 has a French phrase in it. My French accent is atrocious :) Does it matter if I butcher it? It may not be as bad as I think. What are your thoughts on this matter?

By the end, do you mean the very end, or the end of the read text?

Right. I will.

My internet is super slow because I am in "the sticks"...uploading takes a long time. I will send it as soon as the upload finishes.

Yes, that's the only thing plus, at the end a slight stutter on one word.

Re: [GRP/FIC] It Is Never Too Late to Mend by Charles Reade - tg

Hi, I'm wondering how much "pre-listening" you do to make sure the recording is set for publication? I've recorded chapter 7 (section 8) and seeing as though it's my first recording I'm unsure if it is up to standards. I'm happy with my reading in general but there is a point after the int...

I really like Bowmanville. I was there buying skis back in the fall. Nice old houses in the downtown area.
Interesting place.

Bomanville. Awesome. I grew up in Whitby but moved up to Peterborough and then out into rural Kawartha Lakes. I'm not right in Lindsay. closer to Lakefield.
