Re: SOLO Journal of Rev. Francis Asbury, Vol. III - mtf

Section 6 is ready for PL. Nice heartfelt tribute to his mother here. Everything sounds good here, except I thought I heard a slight volume issue. It could be my ears playing tricks, but I don't think so. It seems like the volume drops a bit at around 22:20, and stays at the same lower level until ...

Thanks for finding that link! At the bottom of the page I see a number of other names that have popped up in this journal.

Re: SOLO Journal of Rev. Francis Asbury, Vol. III - mtf

I cleaned up this first section best I could (using Notch Filter in Audacity) and it is uploaded for PL.

Still not sure what's causing my interference. Considering recording just from the built in mic on this laptop; or if not that I can just continue to clean up like I did this time.

Re: Microphone issue

It's not a headset, just the plain old Logitech Labtec desktop mic as is recommended by this site. I have to think there's something in this room that's causing some type of interference; but again I've been recording fine for years and nothing's changed in the last week. Or maybe the cable on this ...

Re: Microphone issue

Okay - this one you can see a tall, thin spike. If you mouse over to that spike, it'll tell you that the peak is at about 4000 Hz. (It'll show that in the "peak" box.) Now, highlight the whole recording and set the Notch Filter to 4000 (the number that showed as the peak of the spike), Q factor of ...
