Chapter 2 posted to You Send It

Chapter two--the men find the women...and find them to be a little more clever and a lot more strong than expected. http://download.yousendit.com/773DE6583C5D38A2 Chapter three tomorrow (it's late! What am I still doing up!?) Thanks for the patience! I'm over the respiratory infections, I think. Hea...

Wow! Thank you!

Sorry about the naming convention. I may have gotten it from an older FAQ printout. I'll use the new one and get you some more chapters ASAP. Work FINALLY calmed down.
: )
YAY!
Thank you again,

WHOO HOOO--Chapter 1

http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=197UGAT5JDEDE0DQ6DETY8ULCT

And I'm not at all sure about the volume as I switched to Garage Band. It sounds great on MY machine, but...

Let me know and I'll start on Chapter 2.

Thanks again! Work's finally easing up.

Default Sample Rates or some such nonsensne

2) Make sure you are recording at 16-bit sample format... I have no idea what this means, but when I started I was recording at 32-bit and had some problems with sound quality. I'm at a 44100 Hz Default Sample Rate and a 32-bit Default Sample FORMAT so I'm changing the format to 16-bit and we'll se...

Yep, for Herland

Sorry about that...I was looking for my Herland thread, didn't find it, found this...forgot about the other.
:D
My bad...
I actually think it might be the 16 bit rate thingy (my highly techie terminology...) I'll go check.

In case you wondered where I'd got to...

I'm getting this bizzare non-regularly intervaled crackling on my recordings. A friend suggested it was static, but I have completely destatic'd myself (um...yeah...not a word, but you get the pic, right?) and am sitting on a couch, in a sound-dead room, and I'm STILL getting the crackling. I've che...

pattern seeing techie geeks UNITE!

I think you're on to something. A Programmer/knitter friend of mine can read a pattern the way she reads lines of code and will say "that row is written wrong."
: D
She's an AWESOME knitter!

Knittings Resurgence

You know, it's funny, it was there and growing before 9/11, but in NY I really REALLY saw the explosion (forgive the metaphor) of knitting in the year after the attacks. I also sense that as we build a more and more distant and technological world for ourselves, more and more of us are drawn to the ...

story of a story of an hour

it's very short with a GREAT O Henry/Saki like irony kick at the end. Used in every american lit textbook these days. I've recorded it and will send it...to the short story folk.

Glad Herland is PD. I'm going to post for that too.
Great fun,

Vogue Insanity

The map of the world afghan was published in the 2002 (?) Vogue Knitting and was something I was immediately drawn to (my Dad's a geographer so I've always liked old maps). There are links to pics of it on my blog, and a pic of the first completed panel too. It's four panels that are easily 6 feet l...

Knitting Heretic Hopeless in Olympic Hubris

If you visit my blog and read from the bottom up you'll see the pain, the horror, the hubris. MamaOKnits.blogspot.com And it was the Knitting Podcast www.cast-on.com that alerted me to your presence on the net...and prompted my eventual joining and recording. I'm a knitter, crocheter, spinner who's ...
