Re: [Group] An Account of Egypt by Herodotus - philc

Hello. I'd love read a section of this, if I could. I've read other chapters here at LibriVox, but if you need to hear the test for yourself just let me know. Could I take section 7? My catalog name is Sondra Robinson (@ SondraRobinson.com) while informally I go by Dravon. In reviewing the section, ...

Re: [History] Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, Vol. 2--jo

Section 30 (chapter 6) is uploaded and ready for review. *fingers crossed* I tried very hard to read the kids' quotes without an accent but it was nearly impossible so you'll hear traces of an inconsistent vaguely britishoid accent here. Re: [History] Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, Vol. 2--jo

Thank you! I was screening and found a reference I'm not sure how to interpret. What is "6s. 6d."?

"I was employed in a warehouse at 6s. 6d. a-week"

I'm guessing the s is Shilling, but the d...

Everything else I can interpret and pronounce. Thanks!

Re: [RELIG HIST] Journal of Francis Asbury, Vol. I - tg

Got the repeat taken care of here: https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/journaloffrancisasbury1_05_asbury_128kb.mp3 I totally understand how it goes around the holiday time! No worries. I'll go ahead and take section 6 if that's alright. Hopefully I'll be able to work on it this weekend and get that...

Re: [RELIG HIST] Journal of Francis Asbury, Vol. I - tg

Thanks for the great feedback! We have a guest bathroom with a tub that isn't used. I was watching Booth Junkie and he fixed a shower stall to work, so I did that except with lots of spare comforters from around the house. It's quite the sight! Stuck a barstool in there and marked the floor for the ...

Re: [RELIG HIST] Journal of Francis Asbury, Vol. I - tg

Good to know. I feel better about it! The sound changes aren't shocking, but I'd like a bit more consistency.

As for running time, it is: 0:20:29

I'll be sure to remember that for next time. Thanks!
