cadastra wrote: May 23rd, 2020, 8:47 am Section 26 PL notes:
0:00 Should be less than 0.5-1 second of silence at beginning of file
0:28 No need to say "Chapter 8, Venice" a second time
34:59 5 seconds of silence at end of file will suffice (currently 8.3 seconds)
Ok, these issues should be fixed now: section 26, 34:58

Re: [HISTORY] The Cambridge Modern History. Volume 01, The Renaissance-Leni

I'm interested in everyone's opinion about whether I should add a touch of echo to my recordings for this project. Here is a link containing 4 small test files with varying levels of echo/reverb. I would greatly appreciate your opinion on which (if any) you prefer, from a listener's perspective, fo...

Re: [HISTORY] The Cambridge Modern History. Volume 01, The Renaissance-Leni

This is already more Greek-sounding than probably any professional reader I've heard in an English-language audiobook, but if you want to go for even more accuracy (not required!) I'm hearing "oh-roh-MAY-on" instead of "roh-MAY-on". Great job! Michael Thank you, Michael -- very ...

Re: Pronunciation help: all languages

Help with Greek, please! In the second paragraph of page 260 of this text: https://archive.org/details/cu31924023187465/page/n297/mode/1up is a sentence in what I believe to be Greek. I am hoping that someone here could somehow provide the pronunciation of the sentence so that I could then record it...

Re: [HISTORY] The Cambridge Modern History. Volume 01, The Renaissance-Leni

Well, here's my first trouble spot: on page 260 in the second paragraph is a sentence in Greek (I think), and not only can I not read it, but no translation is offered. The text is also not OCR'd sufficiently for me to use google translate either. I'm not sure what to do here unless someone knows Gr...

May I return section 20 back into the queue for someone else to perform?
