Re: Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, Vol 2 Songling Pu

My section is here: https://librivox.org/uploads/dlolso21/strangestories2_001_pu_128kbps.mp3 It seems that my contribution is the last. Apologies for being tardy with this - I promise to be prompter and more efficient in the future. I am still a relative newbie here so I hope my recording is technic...

Re: Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, Vol 2 Songling Pu

I volunteered to read section 1:63 - "The Lo-Ch‘a Country and the Sea-market" and was assigned. Now I see my name has been removed and it has been assigned to another reader. I don't understand why. I'm new-ish to Librivox, having previously read just a couple of the weekly poems. Did I ex...

Re: [Weekly Poem] To His Coy Mistress_v2 by Andrew Marvell -

Here is mine, at 02:39 https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/coymistress_marvell_njg_128kb.mp3 I made an executive decision to say "through" (which to me just sounds more natural) than "thorough" (which I think is technically correct). I may have got "winged" wrong thoug...

Re: Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, Vol 2 Songling Pu

I would like to read "63 - The Lo-Ch‘a Country and the Sea-market". I am new here, having just uploaded the current weekly poem for my one minute test, which has now been OK'd. I have a chinese friend who will help me with pronunciation. I will be happy to read more of this if all goes wel...

Help! I'm new!

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. I want to make my first test recording and submit it. I have seen it suggested that a good place to start is "weekly poetry". Is this "weekly poetry" different to general requests for poems and short works to be read? Also, what about "...

Re: New volunteer from London, UK.

Kathrine,

I have just encountered another difficulty.

When I click on the uploader link http://librivox.org/login/uploader it requests my username and password. If I enter these exactly as I do for this forum I get an incorrect login message.

Re: New volunteer from London, UK.

Hello Kathrine, thanks for your reply. My next step is, I think, to make a 1-minute test recording, so I might be asking for some advice pretty soon!

I am based in London, but my students are in various countries around the World. I also have experienc...
