Re: Test Project: Readers Accent Table

I just saw this.... I'd like to add myself but I wouldn't know exactly I've been told : You have a strange accent and You don't have any accent at all. But I really think, it's mostly what I would consider a 'soft' southern. (( Of course if I visit home - NC - and start reading it'd be a lot strong)...

Re: Any Authors out there?

Writer and dreamer :9: lol I've written all my life since I knew how to. I have a terrible habit of starting too many projects at once but now I'm working ( for me, rather diligently ) on one I've had since the 8th grade. I really want that one to do well and have a friend rereading and editing it. ...

Re: Curious....

Moved this out of the "Languages Other than English" forum it was in. :) Now how in the world did I manage that?? Sorry... I try so hard to not do silly things like that. I blame working nights. :-D To clarify what Tricia said -- a literature textbook published in 1922 or earlier ...

Re: Curious....

Great question! If the old book is published in or before 1922, you should be able to :) You'll have to scan the page with the publishing/copyright information and upload it (the page where it says when it was published). Here is a link explaining a little bit more from the wiki. Oh that's fantasti...

Don't Listen Alone...... dun dun dun

I wanted to share this: The other day I'm in my office doing a task I have that's take a few hours when I'm by myself. I'm zoning out and listening to a new Librovox recording. This one is a collection of Edgar Allen Poe's Creepy Stories ( The Tell Tale Heart, Masque of the Red Death, etc ). My task...

Curious....

So I've been wondering lately: I own personally some old/ antique books (many easily within public domain... domain ) and I was wondering would I ever be able to use these books (some are collections of poetry, and I even have a set of primers! <3 ) as a solo project ? Or do you have to find the inf...

Re: OPEN [poetry] The Snowflake and Other Poems by A. Weir -

I found that as soon as I notice that it's quiet outside and sit down to read a longer piece, especially during daytime, neighbors' dogs start barking, FedEx comes with deliveries to all nearby houses, police and firefighters rush to some emergencies... Every time!  Yes!! lol I live on ...

Re: OPEN [poetry] The Snowflake and Other Poems by A. Weir -

yay.

One quick question:

The New Year's Eve one has a refrain - do I read that at the end or in between the stanzas?

Thanks :-)
