Re: [ghost stories] Ancient Tales and Folklore of Japan by RG Smith -ck
Hi Carolin. I see where Lynda noted the 1 minute test was ok. I called myself uploading it in "listeners wanted" but will do so again and repost. Here is the updated file (chapter 27). Please advise if I need to redo any of the pronunciations. Burgundy, again thanks for capturing the overs...

Thanks Burgundy. I did not see that so glad you caught my oversight. I will input and resubmit. Larry, Chapter 27 is smoothly read! We are missing part of the text though, at the very beginning. (Sometimes t he formatting of scanned books makes it difficult to REALLY tell where the story begins.) He...

Re: [ghost stories] Ancient Tales and Folklore of Japan by RG Smith -ck
Hi Carolin. Ok, so now I know why I'm confused. I uploaded the test file to test and not listeners wanted. My apologies!!! But now my question is "Where do I find Listeners wanted"? I'm on the site where it says to upload files and don't see "listeners wanted". Sorry about that b...

Oops. Just realized I titled the file incorrectly. Here is the file with the correct naming format.

Hi Carolin. I was able to get the test file uploaded. I'm editing section 27 now.

Ok. So I tried uploading the test file to the test site but receive this error.
KB Error SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
As an FYI I did make sure to remove all tags. But still receive the error.

Re: Pop, Clicks and all things that makes a narrator go craz
Well I'm back. 8-) :D At ~2.5 seconds there is a transition noise (like a tape recorder being stopped) that I cannot remove. Also, at 11 seconds there is a "tick tock" noise that again I can't remove. Hoping someone has some suggestions to cause and how to remove. Thanks in advance. https:...

Re: Pop, Clicks and all things that makes a narrator go craz
Hi Tom. Yes I had processed with noise reduction. I'm not familiar with noise gate and saw some comments online that advised against using it (not sure). That said before I did any processing I heard the crackle so I'm assuming it occurred while I was speaking. What I don't know is what caused it. T...

Re: Pop, Clicks and all things that makes a narrator go craz
Thanks Tom. So I'm not losing it!! Just out of curiosity what are you using to listen to recordings? I notice a range/difference of what I hear and what others hear. The young lady yesterday noted a set of head-phone she uses. I have a "regular/nothing fancy" pair that I use which I though...

Re: Pop, Clicks and all things that makes a narrator go craz
Hi Cori. I'm beginning to think it might be my ears!! Which all joking aside is somewhat problematic. Thanks!! I will try the PreSonos head-phones. I honestly cannot hear anything unusual about your voice between those time stamps. :hmm: I tried using my relatively bass-heavy, ancient Sony editing h...

Re: Pop, Clicks and all things that makes a narrator go craz
All right everyone I'm back. So I look over the file that Peter sent and I definitely see the spikes/clicks. I was doing another voice recording and now (to my ears and on two different computers) my voice definitely sounds distorted (between 5 and 11 seconds). Sorry for so many questions but after ...
