Re: [group] The Fir-Tree Fairy Book by Clifton Johnson -ck

I have completed my recording of chapter 2: https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/firtreefairybook_02_johnson_128kb.mp3 The total length is 21:26 Nice work. Only two easy PL notes (no recording required): 1. At 10:34 there is throat clearing that could be cut out 2. While in there, could you trim th...

Re: [group] The Fir-Tree Fairy Book by Clifton Johnson -ck

I had a listen to section 39, Greg and Carolin, and it is PL OK! (Nicely read and fun story, though I sometimes feel like the rhino of that story... poor rhino)

If you want, Carolin, I don't mind PLing the other sections to pick up the backlog

Re: Help with a recording problem/audio distortion

Hard to tell the cause but it sounds like a power supply issue, if I were to guess. I’ve had similar sound degredation when recording remotely (for video projects) when recorder batteries were dying and thus not giving good voltage to the condenser mic. Assuming she is using a usb mic, is it plugged...

Re: Creating varying voices.

Great question and great responses! Bottom line I think is to have fun and do what pleases you. Listeners will always have preferences regardless, and PL will verify you are understandable. You could try different things here and there and see what happens. It can be fun trying a voice or acc...

Re: ~OPEN[PLAY]Crossings: A Fairy Play by De la Mare - thw

Great. I could only find a line in each act, so Bob's your uncle: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/crossingsafairyplay_widge_2_128kb.mp3 Wonderfully read, but Uncle Bob needs to turn more pages. There are more lines for Mr Widge on pages 27 and 28. Thanks, Todd Yay, more Widge! Luv this bloke! M...

Re: [OPEN]World's Story 7: Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland - kit

May I read 99 on Chillon if still available? (Wow, these are going fast) It reminds of our time living in Geneva some 20+ years ago and we’d often take visitors over to Montreux to see the castle.

Also, 84 and 85?

Thanks,
Scot
