Editing issues

Hi!

I'm currently in the process of editing my librivox recording. However, unfortunately, I noticed that I forgot to record a couple of sentences in a particular passage, or misread a word in another. Is there anyway dubbing over mistakes?

Thanks!

Re: Problem: Microphone too Quiet

Hi,

I've adjusted my microphone properties. I think that my recording volume is excellent, but I don't think it's showing up in the waveforms. The peaks are still at 0.5 or less.

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

Lynn, I am not sure what it might be without more information what computer/OS, what microphone, interface (if any)... Just a hunch: check with your sound device properties that you don't have AGC (Automatic Gain Control) set on your mic. If you do, turn it off and try again. Good luck! The compute...

Problem: Microphone too Quiet

Hi, I've been having an issue that's rather mic-related. Whenever I'm recording, I feel that I have to lean in and shout into the mic or else turn up my audacity recording volume to the max. Otherwise, my wave forms don't seem to hit the 0.5 level . Sometimes, it hits 0.5 or even 1, and then it star...

How many countries have you traveled to?

For me, I've been to China, Japan, Mexico, and the Bahamas. I've been to China a gazillion of times because I have family there. My most recent trip to China was actually a few weeks ago. For Japan, I didn't actually visit the country, but I had a layover there. I went to Mexico on a cruise trip wit...

Re: A Travesty Against Cheese

I made my first burrito today with black bean burger patty (mashed to bits in the pan), scrambled eggs, and Mexican-style cheese. The cheese that I bought had also had taco seasoning on it, and it blended with the black bean patty completely. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't taste the cheese...

Re: Crocheting!

I just picked up crocheting back in February. I've made two granny squares, and a hat which unfortunately didn't turn out too well. It isn't much, but I do plan on doing more. My potential projects now are figurines, a scarf, and a shawl.

Yes, I rely on patterns since I'm a newbie.

Re: Other Hobbies?

Mine are playing music (I'm a violinist), crocheting & knitting, cooking, learning foreign languages, and watching figure skating. I'm a former dancer as well, having danced for 8 years as a child. I hope to get back into it this summer :) Besides being a violinist, I hope to learn the ukulele or th...

Re: Pets and instruments

I am also a violinist :D Been playing for 10+ years. I am currently the vice principal of my youth orchestra. Currently, I am working on Mendelssohn Concerto in E minor. Besides classical repetoire, I also enjoy other genres, including musicals and pop. Unfortunately, I have no pets as of now :( How...

Re: Silly Accidents

One time when I was around 8, I was practicing on the night before my violin recital. This included rehearsing my walkout on stage and taking a bow. While practicing my walkout, I decided to add some swagger. Ah, the typical 8-year-old me  Unfortunately, I tripped and fell on the tile floor of ...

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

Hey I'm having issues uploading my one-minute test. I selected the correct type of folder from the drop-down list, but it wouldn't let me upload the file. I tried three different browsers, but it's still the same issue. Is there a way to fix it? Did you tell it which file (from your local storage) ...

Hey I have an issue finding the right version of audacity to download. I clicked on the link provided on the wiki, but my browser marked it as dangerous. Is there a way to safely download it?

Hello I am currently having trouble uploading my file-it's a windows media file. I'm not sure if they have specific limitations on the media type.
