Re: Pronunciation help: all languages

all right here it is: https://librivox.org/uploads/xx-nonproject/longueurs.mp3 I first spoke very slowly so you get all the syllables, and then faster the way people normally speak, so it will sound natural. Notice the "liaison": that's important to sound really French. The 's' of "mais" is carried...

OOPS sorry was thinking of Mount Royal which I am presently working on.
No problem. It's easy to get our projects muddled in our heads when we're working on many at once.

Re: [HISTORY]War and Women by Mrs. St. Clair Stobart - jo

I provided the summary when I posted this book in Book Suggestions. It came from an advertisement I saw at the end of "The Future of the Women's Movement," which is being recorded for LV now, so I presume the summary from the advertisement must be public domain as well. If you scroll down to the ver...

Re: Pronunciation help: all languages

I need to know how to say this phrase: " Mais il y a des longuers. " do you mean "longueurs" ? (one 'u' more after the 'e') I can make you a soundfile if you wish. Just confirming the word. It would mean "there are lengths". Sonia Perhaps. That's how it was spelled at Gutenberg. I just copied and p...

Re: [FEMINISM] The Future of the Women's Movement - availle

Hello here is chapter 11. Total running time is 18:53 This is my first recording, I tried to edit but was a bit concerned that I would edit what I wanted to keep. I do not mind recording it over if necessary. I tried to remove noise issues. Any feedback would be helpful for the next recording since...

Re: Pronunciation help: all languages

I need to know how to say this phrase: " Mais il y a des longuers. " I've picked up a few chapters in The Heavenly Twins, and will probably be doing more as soon as I've finished these, but this book is positively peppered with French, German, Latin, and I don't know what all. So I'll probably be ba...

Re: Space demons trilogy by Gillian Rubinstein and

This sounds like a really cool story, but unfortunately, it's not possible for anyone to record it for LibriVox. This book is under copyright, and we can only record books that are in the public domain in the US. This wiki link explains what criteria have to be met in order for a book to be eligible...

Re: OPEN [PLAY] The Mikado by W.S.Gilbert- annise

One more note, on Pish-Tush, act 1.

At about 0:49, Todd says, "should henceforth be beheaded." Text reads "should forthwith be beheaded." I wouldn't bother with this if it weren't part of a chorus, but since it is, the words should be exact.

Re: OPEN [PLAY] The Mikado by W.S.Gilbert- annise

I'm beginning to piece together Act 1, and I have a few notes/questions. Kathrine did not include her own voice credit as narrator. The Dramatis Personae at Gutenberg has a typo: "Pish-Tish" instead of Pish-Tush. Kathrine read it as Pish-Tish (because, of course). I'll leave it up to you whether you...
