Re: [RELIGION] The Crystal Pointers, by Frank W. Boreham-mtf

Here's chapter 12. It was good to get a chance to record today. I haven't had much time in the last several months to record much of anything!

Please review section 19 for PL OK duration 25:36 https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/moonendureth_19_buchan_128kb.mp3 Thanks Nicely done! I find it interesting how often Buchan tells a whole story through the mouth of a character within the larger story. That seems to be one of his favo...

Re: [FULL] The Moon Endureth: Tales and Fancies by John Buchan -jo

Hi, I was just letting to know I just went ahead and marked section 18 as ready for PL: https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/moonendureth_18_buchan_128kb_mp3.mp3 I had asked the user to fix the file name and they basically went MIA back in January, so let's see how they did with this one ...

Rapunzelina wrote: May 5th, 2024, 6:03 pm Thank you Lora! I'm relieved everything sounds fine!

I'm going to miss seeing Cyrano in the Dramatic forum when it's catalogued
I won't miss seeing it in my uploads folder!

I'll work on this in a little bit. Hopefully, I can get it over to archive before bed, at least.

I think this is a good plan. You're right, the cast of characters is MASSIVE. I don't think anyone will miss knowing that a particular person played Soldier 3 and Dancer 1 and Pastrycook 4.

I'll set this up for you. I am tempted to DPL for you again, too, but my listening time isn't as abundant as it once was, and this one is a good bit longer than your last one. For now, I'll get your MW, but if you don't find a DPL, I will PL for you as I can.

Re: [FULL] The Moon Endureth: Tales and Fancies by John Buchan -jo

I tried reducing it by 5 dB, but that reduced this section well below the rest of the recording, as there's a lot of variation in the volume throughout. I think the volume is particularly noticeable in this section because there's some clipping. So I tried for 2.5 instead, which I think yields a bi...

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/theological-tractates-by-boethius/

Great work. Really enjoyed this! Honestly, some of it even helped me understand Consolation of Philosophy better than I did before, so thanks for that!
