Just checking in. I've done more work making sure of my sections work thematically. This book has a complex structure, and doesn't fall neatly into "chapters." Anyway, I'm ready to record finally and will be uploading sections soon. The project hasn't gone fallow.

OK, here is the file with the volume lowered 5dB using the amplify tool. However, now the file appears to have shortened to 9:51. Have I distorted this file?

Can volume be lowered without re-recording using audacity? I haven't seen where I can see volume in dB.
