Re: [SOLO] The White Doe of Rylstone by William Wordsworth-ans

Cantos 1-4, 6 and 7 are spot PL OK. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think you're probably better at patching in new material than I am, too!

Hi Pam,

Section 7 is PL OK. Book II looks set to be very interesting as well.

Re: SOLO - Rome by Emile Zola - icequeen

One note for section 12: 14.21-14.25, last para p 197 …which the mediaeval wall of Leo IV [heard IX] still girdles… And two notes for pronunciations that may (or indeed, may not) crop up again. https://www.lexico.com/definition/scion https://www.lexico.com/definition/aloe Don't assume you're categor...

And the notes for Canto Seventh!

…will not she [heard she not] believe
The promise in that speaking face,

11.12-11.17, top half p 124, omission
Behold the prophecy fulfilled,
[Fulfilled,] and she sustains her part!

Canto Fifth is PL OK! Some very short notes for 4 and 6:

Canto Fourth:
4.58-5.02, top p 71, omission
‘Tis flown – [the Vision,] and the sense
Of that beguiling influence!

Canto Sixth
1.55-1.58, bottom half p 99
…a right
To excuse him in his [heard this] Country’s sight?

Hi Pam,

Section 4 is ready for PL. The start of the first escape of the book. Sorry to end on a cliffhanger!

Re: [SOLO] BLAST No. 1 by Wyndham Lewis -ans

Section 8 is spot PL OK - hurrah! You've just made Modernist fans happy!

One possible note for the summary, though it's a stylistic more than anything. At the end of the first sentence, perhaps add 'visual': '...the short-lived Vorticist movement in British visual art.' Your call.

Re: [GROUP]Dreams Collection 2 - Stories and Poems-ag

Hello Michele, I've had to admit defeat with the third one I was trying to do for this collection. It just wouldn't come out right, but maybe if I give it a rest it'll be fine for the next collection! In the meantime, here is a reverie: A Reverie by Nellie Seelye Evans (?-?) Hi Pam,

Sections 5 and 6 are PL OK. Wikipedia turns up all kinds of coincidences. Thanks for providing me with today's!

Section 11 is PL OK.

And because I can't help myself and this word or variants on it might come up in future projects, a general note on pronunciation:

Re: [SOLO] The White Doe of Rylstone by William Wordsworth-ans

A great start! I'm doing poetry-level PLing for this, so if something seems too finicky let me know. This will be an education for me, since I don't know this poem... Canto 1 2.55-2.57, bottom third p 6 White [heard While] she is as lily of June, 4.49-4.54, top half p 9 But say, among these [heard t...

Re: [SOLO] Blast No. 1 by Wyndham Lewis -ans

I think you were probably right, both about this being something of a rant and about Wyndham Lewis being a bit of a twit. And yeah, Pound was kind of cut from the same cloth - interesting, talented, you name it, but not necessarily pleasant to be around! Also, friendly reminder to update the summary...
