I just *love* one of the original logos / tag lines / whatever that I saw about LibriVox -
"Acoustical liberation of books in the public domain"
(I think I got it right)
I adore Kri's graphic, too!

Chapter 13
I have uploaded The Spy, Chapter 13 to http://fiberarts.typepad.com/librivox This is a corrected version of this file. I had originally recorded it with my new headset, only to find out that the button whose function I didn't know was indeed a mute button, and that I had muted about the first one-th...

Love this idea!
I have no graphics (nor graphics ability) and I don't know how to set up a CafePress store (check Spreadshirts.com too, but they may be more expensive) but I'll be right up front in line to buy if someone sets up something!

How do you set up your files for reading?
Just curious - do you read from the computer or from printouts? If you read from printouts, do you have anything to hold the pages for you? I tried reading from the computer; I'm not sure if it's easier to scroll or to read from printed pages. Right now I think I'm more comfortable reading from prin...

Thank you!
Thank you *very* much! One thing I did see last time I was at the computer store was a PCMCIA USB hub. I may give that a shot! It's certainly a lot less expensive than the PCMCIA sound card to start with, and I do have a USB headset I could test with it.

Laptop background noise - would external sound card help?
I am currently recording on a laptop using a Shure SM-58 mic and a combination of CastBlaster and Audacity. This is the same setup I use to record my regular podcast, and I have the same issues that have been driving me crazy with that, of course. I get electronic buzz in the recording that I can't ...

Hello from New Hampshire
Hi! I've been lurking on the forum off and on for a month or two now. I originally heard about Librivox from Brenda Dayne of the Cast-On podcast (hi, Brenda!) I do a podcast called The FiberCast at http://fiberarts.typepad.com/fibercast about fiber, spinning your own yarn, etc. I'm hoping to read so...

Yeats poem
I sent a copy of the poem that I read, via yousendit. I haven't posted an intro yet, but I will now! I hope I got everything right; I would appreciate any feedback on audio quality. I recorded it in CastBlaster with a lavalier mic (but I have other mics if necessary) and edited the ID3 tags in Audac...
