Ruthie, yes a desktop. I have a Cottage literally way out in the woods that I can load Audacity on at my house then take the laptop out there and have complete peace and quiet.

This may seem like a silly question to some of you but I need to ask anyway . Will Audacity work, once downloaded, on a stand alone computer?
