Re: [SOLO] The Pink Shop by Fergus Hume-ans
YEs that is correct it's the same as it's always been - if you wanted you could download checker https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker - a small program that checks the technical bits . It's pretty easy to use - just drag and drop your finished file. Your noise level might change after ...

Re: [SOLO] The Pink Shop by Fergus Hume-ans
Thanks Helen jus a reminder to Kehinde - you need to fix the tech bits for the file to be catalogued The current file is in stereo , it needs to be mono the bit rate needs to be 128kbps and the bitrate needs to be constant needs to be constant - if you just fix you settings that should be OK in fut...

I just checked it out and it looks way cool! Bet it sounds even better-- that has now been added to my 'want' list. hehehemightyfelix wrote: ↑January 16th, 2018, 10:42 pm So I upgraded to a Samson Meteor mic. I think it cost somewhere around $40-60 USD. I like it a lot!

Re: An oldie is back!
I was on Luzon, about 50 km north of Manila (Clark AB, Angeles City). I was planning on visiting Mindanao at one point, but a massive monsoon crushed those plans. 103 inches of rain in 30 days (a record at the time). I reminisce frequently about my time there. Loved the scenery, the beaches, waterf...

Re: Crocheting!
I've got the opposite problem! My poor languishing projects all think that I love making audiobooks more than them. (I neither confirm nor deny these allegations.) haha I can see how recording can take over too! You just get engrossed in it (and get addicted!) and time flies. lol before you know it...

Re: Crocheting!
wahhh Finally found this thread! lol Me too!! Love crocheting with a passion! And I must admit that's one of the reasons why I didn't really have time to get back on recording books with Librivox because crocheting took over. >.< ahem BUT am better at balancing all my interests/passions now -- lol s...

Re: ~[SOLO] The Pink Shop by Fergus Hume-ans
Now that you are a soloist, you will be your own BC (book coordinator). That means that you will enter the links to your recordings into the Magic Window (MW) (the scrolling window in the first post). Here is a document that explains how to get into the MW the first time: https://docs.google.com/fi...

Re: An oldie is back!
Thank you all! <3<3 I'm slowly getting into the flow of things and having a one on one with MW lol! The workflow has changed a bit since you were here last - the general process is the same, but the Magic Windows work a little differently. You'll get the hang of it quickly, I am sure. You'r...
