I've read this, and it's a good Christmastime story. Carmencita is a lively little heroine (although not quite as spunky as Mary Cary, written by the same author!). When she wants something done, she makes it happen.

Re: books by bm bower

The B. M. Bower books are stories are wonderful! I'm not a big Western fan, but I love her stories and novels about the Happy Family of the Flying U Ranch. Lots of humor along with the drama---NOT shoot-'em-ups, but stories with great characters and situations.

Re: How do you read

Hi and thanks for all the replies. I originally posed the question last year, since then I have tried reading off my Chromebook which works well enough but I have concluded paper is "my way" to go too. It works best for me when keeping notes and reviewing that chapter as I get done. I write notes, ...

Re: Things I will never understand.

I will never understand why the components of making a handmade blanket, quilted or crocheted, is SO MUCH more expensive than purchasing one already made. [sigh] I like to make blankets but the cost of the yarn and especially material is beginning to make these items unrealistic. I wonder if these ...

Not new, but back after a long while

I've been absent for a few years  , but during my absence I was still very busy with audio work: podcast segments for MyMerryChristmas.com, and D.J. and character work on Kringle Radio. During that time I kept finding things I'd like to record for LibriVox ... someday. Well, I finally recorded...

Hello, Maria---

With apologies, I have to resign from recording Chapter 3. Things have been getting in my way of doing it for over a month, and other competing projects are looming :( , so I'll step back and let someone else take it ...

Chapter 3 is up for grabs.
